Introducing Speaker Profiles: Every Voice Gets a Name
Ever scrolled through a transcript and struggled to remember who was speaking? With Speaker Profiles, those days are over. This feature transforms anonymous transcripts into organized, color-coded conversations where every voice is identified.
What Are Speaker Profiles?
When you record conversations with Fieldy, our AI automatically detects different speakers and labels them. Speaker Profiles let you replace these generic labels with real names and assign each person a unique color—making it instantly clear who was talking.
Think of it like adding contact names to phone numbers. Once you've created a profile for "Elon" or "Mr. Cook from work," you'll always know exactly who's speaking in your transcripts.
What You Can Do with Speaker Profiles
Create Your First Profile
Getting started is simple:
- Open any memory with transcriptions
- Tap the "+" icon on an unknown speaker profile
- Enter a name and pick a color
- Tap "Create" to save
That's it! All selected transcripts are now linked to the new speaker. Fieldy will also auto-label known speakers, once you mark enough transcriptions as a specific speaker profile.
Quick-Edit Existing Speakers
See a speaker pill that you labeled before, but you made a typo? Just tap the "Edit" icon right on the pill to edit a profile on the spot. The app will automatically select all transcripts from that speaker, making it easy to re-assign some transcripts at the same time.
Assign Transcripts to Profiles
Already have profiles set up? When you "select" transcripts, you'll see all your existing profiles in a horizontal list at the bottom. Just tap a profile to assign the selected transcripts to that speaker. Perfect for when the same person was detected as two different speakers.
Color-Coded Conversations
Each profile gets its own color, making it easy to scan through long transcripts. The colors appear on speaker avatars throughout your transcripts.
Privacy & Your Data
Speaker Profiles are stored securely with your account. Only you can see and manage who's in your transcripts. When you "unassign" speaker profile, the transcripts remain but revert to generic labels.
Speaker Profiles turn your transcripts from walls of anonymous text into meaningful, organized records of your conversations. Start creating profiles today and never lose track of who said what again.
