2. Quick Start

  1. Put on Your Fieldy — It comes pre-assembled with the Pendant Accessory but you can easily change it to a different one.
  2. Download the App — Scan the QR code inside the box or go to Fieldy.ai/download.
  3. Set it & Forget it — Go through the onboarding in the app and once you’re done, enjoy the peace of mind Fieldy gives you.

3. Accessory System

Fieldy 3 features a twist-lock accessory mounting system that allows you to easily swap between different wearing options.

Dismounting Your Fieldy

  1. Turn your Fieldy over (LED facing down)
  2. Rotate it clock-wise until the dots match up
  3. Lift the Fieldy out of its accessory

Mounting on an Accessory

  1. Turn your Fieldy over (LED facing down)
  2. Match up the two dots on your Fieldy with the accessory cut-outs
  3. Insert Fieldy and turn counter-clock-wise until it clicks

4. Device Overview

The Fieldy logo on the front of the device is the button — press it to power on/off, check connection status, and more.

4.1 Charging Your Device

  1. Connect the USB-C cable to the port on the bottom of the device.
  2. Plug into any USB power source (computer, wall brick, or power bank).
  3. LED Status: 🟢 Green = Full/Good, 🟡 Yellow = 6-10 hours left, 🔴 Red = Charge immediately. Note: Device can be used while charging.

4.2 Powering On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the button for 2 seconds. The LED will pulsate Blue (pairing mode).
  • Power Off: Press and hold the button for 2 seconds while the device is on.

4.3 Connection Check

Single click the device button:

  • 1 White Blink: Connected to your phone.
  • 3 White Blinks: Disconnected (Open the app to reconnect).

6. Wearing Your Fieldy

Best Practices for Audio Quality:

  • Placement: Wear the device with the LED facing outward (where the antenna is located).
  • Clothing: Avoid wearing under heavy jackets or thick scarves which may muffle the microphone.
  • Environment: Fieldy works best in quiet to moderate noise environments.

7. Offline Storage

If you leave your phone behind, Fieldy stores up to 10 hours of audio locally on the device.

  • Recordings sync automatically when you return to Bluetooth range
  • Keep within 30 feet of your phone for best connectivity
  • The app must be open with an internet connection to sync

9. Troubleshooting

Device Won’t Turn On

  1. Charge the device fully using a different cable/outlet to rule out power issues.
  2. Press and hold the button for 2 seconds.
  3. If unresponsive, perform a Power Reset: Hold the button for 10 seconds.

Factory Reset (Pairing Clear)

Use this to wipe Bluetooth information and return to pairing mode:

  • A single click followed by an immediate 10 second long press will factory reset. Note: If the LED returns to White instead of Blue, repeat the sequence.

Warning: This should be used as a last resort. Fieldy will wipe Bluetooth pairing information with your phone. You will need to forget Fieldy from your phone’s Bluetooth settings before re-pairing.

Frequent Disconnections

  1. Ensure the LED is facing outward (where the antenna is located).
  2. Keep the phone within 30 feet.
  3. Check for physical obstructions between device and phone.

10. Support

When to Contact Support:

  • LED shows colors not listed here (e.g., Purple error light).

  • Device remains unresponsive after a 10-second power reset.

  • Physical damage or hardware malfunction.
